Terms of Use
Last Updated: July 3, 2026
Welcome to Studio Pickens. These Terms of Use apply when you use our website, contact us through the site, book
a consultation, request a service, rent a piece, or otherwise engage with Studio Pickens.
By using this website or submitting information to Studio Pickens, you agree to these terms. For questions, please
contact hello@studiopickens.com.
1. About Studio Pickens
Studio Pickens is a custom wig-making studio serving productions, private clientele, stylists, designers, performers,
and industry professionals across film, television, theatre, fashion, live performance, and private work.
Our services may include bespoke wig design, rentals, repairs, refronts, customizations, private consultations,
fittings, make-up consultations, and related studio services.
All work is subject to creative review, technical feasibility, scheduling availability, material availability, and written
approval by Studio Pickens.
2. Website Use
This website is provided for general information, service inquiries, portfolio viewing, and communication with Studio
Pickens.
You agree not to use the website in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or interfere with the website or
with any other person’s use of the website. You may not attempt to access any private systems, files, accounts, or
information connected to Studio Pickens without authorization.
3. No Guarantee of Availability or Acceptance
Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee that Studio Pickens will accept a project, schedule a consultation, hold a
fitting, reserve rental pieces, or begin work.
Studio Pickens reserves the right to accept, decline, pause, cancel, or reschedule any inquiry, consultation, service,
rental, or project at its discretion.
No project, fitting, rental, delivery, or service timeline is confirmed unless Studio Pickens has confirmed it in writing.
4. Consultations, Fittings, and Project Scope
Consultations and fittings are scheduled by appointment only.
Studio Pickens may request reference images, measurements, head patterns, hair information, production details,
billing information, delivery requirements, or other materials before determining whether a project can move forward.
Any quote, estimate, or timeline provided by Studio Pickens is based on the information available at the time. Final
pricing, timing, or scope may change if the project requirements change, if additional work is requested, if source
materials are delayed, or if additional technical work is required.
5. Payments, Deposits, and Invoices
Payment requirements vary depending on the type of client and service.
Private clients may be required to pay a consultation fee, deposit, balance payment, or other invoice before an
appointment is confirmed, before work begins, or before final delivery.
Production clients may be invoiced based on approved work, rentals, repairs, shipping, courier charges, rush work,
additional color work, or other billable studio services.
Invoices are due according to the terms stated on the invoice. Studio Pickens reserves the right to pause work,
withhold delivery, cancel appointments, or delay release of completed pieces if required payments have not been
received.
6. Changes, Add-Ons, and Additional Charges
Any changes to the original project scope must be approved by Studio Pickens.
Additional charges may apply for changes in creative direction, color adjustments, rush timelines, added pieces,
courier runs, shipping, restoration, repairs, refronting, restyling, fitting changes, or any work outside the originally
approved scope.
Studio Pickens will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to pricing or timing, but urgent
production needs, client changes, or technical requirements may require work to proceed quickly.
7. Rentals
All rentals are subject to availability, approval, signed rental documentation, and Studio Pickens’ rental policies.
Rental pieces must be returned on time, in the condition provided, with adhesives fully removed unless otherwise
agreed in writing.
Alterations, cutting, lace trimming, color changes, styling changes, or any other modifications must be approved in
writing before they are made. Damage, loss, late return, unauthorized customization, or failure to return pieces in
acceptable condition may result in additional charges, including repair, refronting, restoration, replacement,
restocking, courier, or rental extension fees.
Studio Pickens reserves the right to determine whether a rental piece has been damaged, altered, lost, or returned in
a condition requiring additional work.
8. Shipping, Courier, and Delivery
Delivery may be arranged by local pickup, courier, production-provided shipping label, or another approved method.
Studio Pickens is not responsible for delays, loss, damage, customs issues, missed deliveries, or carrier errors once
an item has been released to a courier, shipping provider, production representative, stylist, client, or authorized
pickup contact.
Any shipping or courier costs may be added to the client’s invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Client Materials and Reference Materials
Clients may provide reference images, measurements, hair samples, previous pieces, design notes, production
documents, or other materials to support a project.
By submitting materials to Studio Pickens, you confirm that you have the right to provide those materials and that
Studio Pickens may use them for the purpose of evaluating, quoting, designing, producing, documenting, or
completing the requested work.
Studio Pickens will use reasonable care when handling client-provided materials, but is not responsible for pre-
existing damage, deterioration, wear, fragility, undisclosed issues, or risks inherent in working with used, delicate,
vintage, chemically treated, or previously altered pieces.
10. Creative and Technical Discretion
Studio Pickens’ work is highly specialized and may involve creative judgment, technical interpretation, handwork,
sourcing, color work, ventilation, construction, finishing, fitting, repair, and customization.
While we work to meet approved references, measurements, and design direction, exact duplication may not always
be possible due to hair availability, color variation, texture, material behavior, performer needs, hand-made
construction, or production conditions.
Studio Pickens reserves creative and technical discretion in how work is executed, provided the work remains
aligned with the approved scope.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, images, logos, design, layout, photography, graphics, service descriptions, and
portfolio materials, belongs to Studio Pickens or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, modify, scrape, sell, or use any Studio Pickens content without
prior written permission.
All custom designs, techniques, patterns, build methods, documentation, internal processes, supplier information,
forms, and studio materials are confidential and remain the property of Studio Pickens unless otherwise agreed in
writing.
12. Photography, Portfolio, and Publicity
Studio Pickens works with private clients, high-profile individuals, productions, designers, stylists, and confidential
projects. Client privacy is central to our work.
You may not photograph, film, post, publish, tag, identify, or share any Studio Pickens work, studio space, fittings,
clients, performers, blocks, reference materials, work-in-progress, pricing, project details, or behind-the-scenes
information unless Studio Pickens has approved it in writing.
Studio Pickens may only use client or production work publicly when permitted by the applicable client, production,
NDA, publicity restriction, or written approval.
13. Confidentiality
Any non-public information shared with or by Studio Pickens must be treated as confidential. This includes, but is not
limited to, client names, performer names, production names, pricing, timelines, reference images, fittings, design
direction, photographs, measurements, supplier information, technical processes, and project details.
Studio Pickens expects all clients, collaborators, vendors, stylists, designers, and production representatives to
respect confidentiality and any applicable NDA or production restriction.
